Anime Expo 2011 Haul

July 11, 2011

Here is my haul from Anime Expo this year:

AX2011 Haul

– Revoltech Assemble Borg –
– Revoltech Barrels Speeder –
– Asuka Figma –
– Chun-Li Statue –
– Little Mio & Azu-Nyan Boxed Figures –
– Persona 3 –
– A Bag of Little Super Famicoms –
– A Mystique Shirt (Not Pictured) –

I think that should about cover it. Besides, of course, the free stuff you get in the bag at badge pick up. Which includes a shirt, a Wakfu poster and a Magic The Gathering Starter Deck. My girlfriend, my friend and I each got different decks, and they were nice enough to give me theirs. So in the end I ended up with 3! I wonder just how many different types of decks there were?

AM2 & Anime Expo 2011

July 11, 2011

The only vids I got while at AX and AM2. Yeah I’ve been lazy in the video department. For those that aren’t familiar; AM2 stands for: Animation, Manga and Music. It’s a new con that debuted this year, at Anaheim Convention Center, in an attempt to compete with Anime Expo. I only visited for a few hours on day 2, as I had already purchased a 4 badge for Anime Expo. As you can see, there wasn’t much to do (other than the concerts at night). I think, if they plan to put this con on again next year, it would be better suited at a different location and at a different time. But that’s just my opinion.

And then a quick vid of the food trucks located outside the Los Angeles Convention Center at Anime Expo:

I think I’m going to try and get more video coverage when I go to Comic Con in 2 weeks.

AX’10 Cosplay Photos

July 21, 2010

With Comic Con right around the corner, I wanted to make sure I got all my AX photos out of the way. It’s a small dent in what I still have to do, but at least now I can move forward with that cleared from my head.

So take a look at some of the cosplay photos I took from this past Anime Expo 2010.

I know there’s not a lot of photos, but I still have some from previous shoots I have yet to go through. Busy, busy. Anyway, see you at Comic Con!

Saber Forge Review

July 14, 2010

Here is a review of the light saber I got from AX10. It’s made by Saber Forge and is called the Reliant.

You can check out Saber Forge’s site here.

I Got Spirit, How ‘Bout You?

July 13, 2010

Here are some photos of the Robot Spirits 00 Gundam I took at AX10. I got him at the con and was the first Robot Spirits figure I got. This figure is so fun and easy to pose, I became immediately hooked on the Robot Spirits line. I already got Exia (at the con) and have Unicorn Destroy Mode on it’s way (ordered online). I’m already thinking about which others I should get.

Get Down Get Funkay

Do The Matrix

Look At The Time

Outta My Way!

Quick side note: Gundam Figures have always been a pivotal influence on my collecting. From when I used to get snap-together models as a kid, to those early Bandai Gundam figures that helped me move into figure collecting. I’ve just always had a thing for mecha and Gundam is the epitome of mecha.
